David Andrews is a Professional Certified Coach with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, teams and organizations designing and delivering the conversations, pathways, and learnings to move clients towards greater awareness, effectiveness, and success.
As a coach, leader, and learning expert, he has worked with people on five continents towards improved performance, experience, and results. He coaches people towards personal and professional development with intention and purpose. As an executive coach and leadership development professional, he works with individuals and teams to help them get to know themselves better so they can move into new territory and experiences with intention and purpose. His particular interest is working with mid-level managers to create a core brand of leadership, supported by effective communications.
Experience at a Glance
A Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, David is focused on developing his clients’ leadership capacity and presence. He trained with the Coaches Training Institute in both their Co-Active Coach training and certification and their intensive Co-Active Leadership training. His work with teams is grounded both in his learning with the Center for Right Relationship in their Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching program and through more than 30 years as a teacher, trainer, and facilitator. David enjoys The Leadership Circle approach by Bob Anderson of Mastering Leadership for systematically addressing leadership effectiveness development both with individuals and groups.
David’s clients include The World Bank, The International Monetary Fund, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Johns Hopkins Medical Institute, The Comptroller of the Currency and many others. Prior to launching his independent practice, he was on staff at the World Bank for nearly 10 years. In this capacity he facilitated effectiveness workshops with Bank-staff teams around the world helping to identify strengths and challenges and build actions towards greater success and improved experience.
Education and Professional Achievements
An avid, life-long learner, David continues to grow and develop through training in Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching with the Center for Right Relationship and the Great Story Coaching program with Lucid Living. He has significant practice in interpreting a number of 360 assessment tools with clients and is a regular connection for new students in the Leadership Circle 360 Certification program, helping them to debrief their own profiles prior to beginning their formal training. He earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coach Federation (ICF) in 2017. A graduate of the Coaches Training Institute’s Co-Active Coaching and Leadership programs, David is active in the CTI community as a participant in ongoing leadership development training and an organizer of area activities around Washington, DC. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with an MA in Education and holds BAs in both English and Political Science from the University of Maryland.
