Initial Challenge: New team leader needs to get up and running very quickly with group comprised of silo’d individuals & mindsets Approach: Coached the new team leader one on one and facilitated an energetic session with core team and new leader
Solution: Focused on assessment fundamentals – who am I, who are you, who can we as a team be; recognition of diverse styles and approaches to work or communication
Results: Immediate and very positive feedback from the team to the team leader; coordination of projects enhanced by acknowledging the variety of styles on the team; greater focus on ‘we’ versus ‘I’ was sustained in the coming months
