Charles Lewis
Executive CoachCharles Lewis has extensive coaching background as an internal coach as well as an external coach. An associate with Clearwater Consulting Group, he coaches executive clients across the country in sales, sales support, operations, finance, marketing, communications, small business and retail. Key areas of Charles' expertise are leadership assessment and development, interpersonal communication effectiveness, team development, cultural change and integration support, and conflict resolution. Trained through The Coaches Training Institute, Charles continues to pursue his coaching credentials through the International Coaching Federation.
Charles has coached in both academic and corporate settings, having been on the faculties of three universities and as a senior leadership and organizational executive for nearly twenty years at ING--one of the world's largest global financial services companies. At ING Charles held senior positions as Head of Management and Organizational Development for the North American Region where he led all leadership assessment, development, succession planning and global management program participation for financial services businesses in the US, Canada, Mexico and South America. He worked with the top leadership to identify and develop high potentials across the business and established the first North American global management trainee program.
His last corporate role was working as the sales leadership coach for a $10 billion annuity sales team. He was responsible for all leadership assessment and effectiveness coaching as well as key in the development of business strategy, internal communication and development of value added workshop and presentation services for wholesale and retail distribution partners. During his three year association with the sales team, sales doubled while nationally the industry declined or remained flat.
An executive and team coach, meeting facilitator, speaker and master trainer, Charles is committed to helping his clients embrace inspiring and challenging work with confidence. He partners with clients to develop and enjoy respectful relationships with colleagues and clients. He has a firm commitment to t encourage clients to value service over servitude, leadership over dominance, and commitment over obligation. Through direct and supportive feedback and coaching Charles assists his clients in fulfilling their potential professionally and personally. His goal in all engagements is to co-create with clients a more profitable, productive healthier and fulfilling life. Charles is active on the board of the Georgia Coach Association and served as co-chair of the 2009 Prism Conference which acknowledges organizational excellence through coaching.
